Well-being through attention
Through bodywork you learn through and with your body – through attention and perception – to take responsibility for yourself and to change the way you deal with pain.
Bodywork aims to reconnect people to their body, their feelings, and sensations, thus reconnecting them to an attention that is larger than mind attention – body attention.
General objectives
- Improvement of breathing, digestion, and sleep quality
- Silencing the mind, more clarity
- Increasing the energy level
- Dealing with recurrent pain, tension (e.g. back, neck, and shoulder pain, migraine)
- Recognition and termination of habitual behaviors that stand in the way of personal development
- Another, self-determined dealing with fear and pain
- Dealing with anger and frustration etc.
Working Method
We determine the goal and intuition before each session. Treatment takes place at the massage table or on the floor (on a comfortable mat).
Depending on the goal and intuition, I use different techniques based on touch, movement and verbal guidance:
- Classical massage techniques
- Breathwork
- Thai inspired massage (gentle stretching)
- Grinberg method® (somatic bodywork)
- Foot reflexology treatment
Treatments last between 60 and 90 minutes.
Bodywork is not suitable for persons undergoing psychotherapeutic treatment, taking heavy painkillers or mind-expanding substances.
Bodywork does not replace any medical treatment. It is a learning method that teaches with and through the body. It makes no claim to be a healing method, an alternative medicine or massage therapy, or to belong to the medical professions. If in doubt, consult with your treating physician before a process (several consecutive sessions) or after a trial session.
